i hadnt read this thread until just now.
i think AL is suggesting the same sort of forum as i was, with the general sharing of photos.
i really agree with the idea of a welcome mat forum, for all those guests/lurkers to introduce themselves and get involved with the conversations. it would be a great ice-breaker spot.

Too bad, the site software cannot program a spam filter to search for the use of repetitive words that indicate the presence of spam and then automatically delete posts such as the above.

This actually has many built in spam filters but spammers are a crafty bunch....ad this week I'm offline more than online which is very very very rare.
I'll add another filter when I return home next week.
You should know though that quoting the spammer with his/her links intact makes the spammers really happy.
