Since i'm fairly new to photography I would *love* it if there was a forum for posting photos that we'd let others edit to help us learn proper techniques, (ie: Cropping, b&w conversion, etc...)

You can really use the Critiques forum for this - just use each thread/picture as a starting point, and if you're not sure on any particular feedback, ask to go into more detail.
Where the OP doesn't mind, members often do quick edits of the original photos to demonstrate something or other, it's a useful tool.
I would just suggest putting "editing photos is ok" in your signature. Many of us are more than willing to help show different PP styles, but many people disapprove the editing of their images. But yes, put it in the critique thread and we will be more than happy to take a look at it and help you out. Cheers!

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
There is one already - it is under assignments thread - the post processing thread is for this purpose. You download the picture - edit - record your steps/process and share.
I have never noticed that. I will go and check it out now. Thanks!

In general i would suggest that it is NOT cool to edit anyone else's photograph EXCEPT for the post processing forum here http://www.photography.ca/Forums/post-processing/
OR
if you are 100% sure that another member does not mind because they have explicitly said so in the past.
Many thanks
