"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
Thanks Marko.
I entered this pic in my camera clubs fall challenge. They didn't like the "All Enquiries" sign on the right and thought I should crop it out. I've tried it and didn't like it as it makes it seem unbalanced.
I agree with you asnow...I wonder if you cropped the same amount from the left side as well...you would cut into the window washer but maybe seeing only half of him might work...personally I like the complete image. I mean if you have a second shot at it...maybe take another shot a tad tighter and without a bike if possible...then again...that was THE scene at the time so who knows. All the best in whatever you decide

the crop and all enquiries sign doesn't bother me at all. but i think what they might be seeing is the building sloping away on the right which makes the whole image seem to be off kilter. sorta like when a horizon isn't straight. the verticals are pretty straight, but if you could straighten the line where the building meets the bottom of the storefronts and straighten the line where the bottom of the windows meets the top of the storefronts then i think you'll have it. it's very close already, just off by a tad. do not straighten the entire image, it's already straight and it will throw your verticals off.
