cool - i dig the timeless feel - I like the comp and the overall scene here.
Harsh light for sure, but if this were mine I'd definitely try to open up the blacks in the man and the cart by a good 20%

It's better, but you manipulated other tones as well....Background looks better in shot 1.
If it were mine, I would have selected only the man and the cart from shot 1 and worked exclusively within the selection.
(Then again this is just my vision...it's your image of course
