"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
Wonderful composition. That looks like a challenging ride in those conditions.
It is hard to imagine all that snow. I cant even get the ice in my gin to stay frozen. I just looked up Montreal weather and I see it is forecast to "feel like" -18 C. That is about a 60 degree differential from where I am at 40C today
It sure is pretty though
A very cool scene. I like how the people on the sidewalk are looking at the crazy fella on the bike. I remember driving my bike in similar conditions as a teenager. It is really tricky and honestly I think I was stupid for even trying back then. But teenagers are stupid, generally. :P
The guy on the bike...was an total A$$ who was yelling at me.
He was 50ish and had 5 inches on me - and came at me aggressively after I made the image. He made my adrenaline rush...and kept me in a heightened state for 20 minutes.
He demanded right then and there (shouting at me) that i delete the images. That I show him the images and delete them.
I asked him if he was Police and he said 'almost.' I then put my camera around my shoulder and told him This is canada. This is a democracy. These pictures are for me and I can't even see your face.
For whatever reason this calmed him down and he took off. But he left me all tense for 20 minutes. Douchebag.
For the record, had it been police...I would not have complied and taken the consequence if there were to have been one.... I still like to believe that I live in a democracy even though sometimes it doesn't feel that way.

That sucks... I've had that happen a couple of times. People get very bent out of shape some times over the smallest things. Glad you made out OK.
