I know what you mean about having to avoid the poison stuff. Bah.
Anyway, this is a good image and I like the spider, too.
I think it's a fly of some kind, WD. The background is the river, and I'm wondering what the colors will look like once the grass dries up. Shouldn't be too long before I can find out.
MA, give nature half a chance, and it'll come up with all sorts of eye piercing colors.
The shades of green in the grass against the grey-blue of the background is really awesome. I also like the highlighted tips of the grass. The bug: priceless.

Really nice QO. Love the way they seem to glow, but still with such clarity, in front of the smooth sparkling background waters. Excellent job.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Thanks, all. I don't think the day's been sunny during my lunch walk since. I have a bunch of overcast day stuff I'm working through at the moment. (I have managed to avoid the downpours, at least during my walks)
