Very nice shot of a beautiful flower. Very soft and delicate. Your shot definitely does it justice.
Actually did not know of it as Prarie Crocus, always knew of it as Pasqueflower, (Anemone)
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

HBG I think you are right although I'm sure I have seen them called prairie crocus as they grow all over the fields in the prairies....I think this is a nickname for them when they are wild.
Just Googled it (Gosh I love using the word Google as a verb) and yep that is the other name for them!
