That was my intent, de-saturate everything else and make the blue leap off the image. Glad you like it.

Love the selective colouring and the detail looks wonderful! Very well done. I expect you are loving that 50mm. Hope you don't mind me saying that I'm not crazy about the composition though.
Thanks Iggy - and yes I am very pleased with the 50mm f1.8, especially since I got it for $140.
As to the comp- I was not thrilled either, when I saw the blue flowers isolated with the other dark elements I felt it would make a good first attempt at the process - no insult taken from your comment.
