    Thanks everyone. The more I look at that 1st shot, the more I like it, too. I had a great time shifting around in the squishy moss trying on compositions and hoping the sun wouldn't get behind a giant tree to shade my subjects. Luckily it didn't. Even found an old milk crate nearby to sit on.

    Well, didn't take too long, was right in my guessing. The plant is a "False Hellebore" atype of lily.
    WARNING- DO NOT TOUCH as they are highly toxic-Can even be deadly.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

    hey thanks HBG...I thought they looked vaguely-lily-like, but wasn't certain. Thanks for the warning, too, I didn't touch them at all yesterday and definitely won't now. Am going to grab my flora books to see when they'll bloom. I hope it coincides with the skunk cabbages...that would be sweet.
