In answer to your question MA... No, Our lawns are flower free! no Dandelions, daises or any other flower is allowed to mingle on the lawn. It must be a solid sheet of green from end to end. We're organized in that way, flowers know their place!
It's the same here too ... although a few weeds tend to get in due to the dry spells that last ... oh ... years!
No Dandes on the lawn, no germs in the bathroom, no stains on the carpet, no spots on the shiny black car!...We're nuts I tell ya!

Here they do plant the crocuses (seems like it should be croci ) on the lawn. by the time you need to mow they are usually finished. I love seeing a lawn flower scattered through it. Hubby has other ideas but we move out the country there will be no more trying to keep everything but grass out of the lawn!
