So today I went out with a local photographer guide -Bruce Tannas for a 2 hour lesson on photography. Unfortunately the weather was not particularly cooperative with snow in the morning and low clouds shrouding the mountains. I had a fantastic time and learned a bit on how to better create shots especially with flat light and non-cooperative skies.
The sky did open up briefly to reveal this lovely shot and reflection of Sulphur Mountain...lol..it was funny when this popped out, Bruce went to the car to grab his camera also:
Here's the BW version.
He then he showed me this really neat beaver pond with some awesome reflections. He explained the beavers just returned this year once the willows had grown back. The pond has been here for years with families coming and going. He said they will leave the pond once they deforest everything, move elsewhere and then return once everything grows back...rinse repeat. I wish we had more than 2 hours....gave me lots of neat tips about capturing wildlife also although we didn't see any. Will definitely come back next time and contact him again.
I think I am going back there tomorrow morning.
