I don't comment much, not at all on your work Dwayne. That doesn't mean it's no good as we both know from the comments you get that that idea would just be silly. Mostly it's just not my cup of tea. I'm really myopic

I need a point to look at. This one is cool however. Some part of me would love to see a "Baitman" hidden wolf in the treeline

I'm curious though so have to ask. The exif data on your work says you choose to shoot in auto exposure with your D80. That's not a critique of your abilities, just me being curious. You also choose to use manual white balance. To me these are odd choices

I've always been curious on these points but didn't want to come across as rude but tonight my little voice said..."Just ask him!" Anyway as I said, not always my cup of tea but I recognize respectfully the definite style you have developed and hold in high regard your following!

PS... I may have figured out the auto exposure thing as I just did a test with my D90 using shutter priority mode and the exif reports this as "auto exposure?" strange! I knew there had to be a catch. Still wondering about the manual white balance though? Is there an advantage you can depart to using this mode? Ive tried auto ISO and was really unhappy with the cameras choices but have never chosen to use Manual WB, is there an advantage?

This is a post script night for me apparently. You posted one with a dear a while back that was a great shot but then the phone rang or I fell asleep or something and I forgot about it and never told you how good of a shot that was...By far my favorite of yours to date, sorry for the late comment

Thank very much for the kind words !! I shoot (P) program (flex) I am not
sure way the "auto mode" shows up in the data. Program (flex) is a great
mode when you need split second reaction time and no fumbling around
with the settings like in the case with the deer, I needed split second
timing on that one.

The (flex) part allows you to override the cameras setting to best suit
different conditions when you have a little more time to make
a decision like in landscapes. Some times I will also use (A) mode
in landscapes.

As far as the my WB (white balance) setting I always set mine on
(direct sunlight) with a (-3 correction) this will reduce alot of the (blue
color cast) on sunny days and will work on cloudy also. Thanks again !

PS A wolf would be a shot of a life time. I will be going up to Algonquin Park
this winter, maybe I will get a glimpse of one.
