Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!
Bump...sorry. I enjoyed this particular shot, maybe you guys not so much?

I kind of like this shot JJ, I like the left side more than the right side though.
I find the right side distracting as well as the blown flower at the top mid-right. The overall composition feels a bit messy here. Hope that helps and this is just my - Thx - Marko

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
Yes. I have to agree with marko.
The lighting on the left..I know that is what makes the photo. I'm thinking mabye a smaller aperture?
First of all, I love Daisies, they are always so cheerful. It's hard to hate them even when they are taking over the garden.
I can see what you are trying to do here and you are almost there (in my opinion). I wonder if you cropped up to the sharp flower leaving a little around it might work better.

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
I have to admit that while I like the use of light and shadow ... I don't find daisy's particularly interesting and don't feel the way the it's taken has elevated the interest for me. Doesn't mean it wouldn't appeal to someone else of course. It's simply a subject that I'm not drawn to.
