The very reason I haven't watched TV for going on seven years, it replaces quality and inspiring work like your Grandfathers with mindless gibberish for the most part. These are really lovely shots, thanks for taking the time and trouble to share with us
I uploaded another of my Grandfather's slides tonight. This peddler sold his wares along the river. You can see the string used to send items and money back and forward to the shore, tourist boats and bridges.

Grandad must have been on a boat or bridge when he shot this I guess? Cool perspective to show how full the boat is.
