There's an Orton plug-in for GIMP. You just give it a couple of parameters and sit back and watch. Don't like it, revert back to the original and change the parameters. Pretty easy, really. It's the original shot that's tricky

Cool. I have one for the gimp. Sound like the same one. Your image is one that is perfect for Orton. I have used as a subtle effect on a few images, but none that really worked like this.

I which someone would do one for lightroom.
