wow, that's terrific! I love it.
Nice, though I'm curious if this really needed HDR. It looks like a scene that would all be within the normal dynamic range of most cameras, even if some details had to be eeked out with the shadow/highlights tool or similar processing.

I had to go back and look at the shots I took to answer this one.
Yes and No. For the most part no. There was quite a lot of shadow up in the grasses and the large rock at the back of the shot. In my attempts to get that right I always just blew out the water flowing over the rocks at the front. Some sort of HDR treatment was necessary if I wanted it all exposed so detail was visible everywhere.
Having said that though, I still would have done an HDR on this even if I could have taken the shot without it because I'm currently exploring this technique and learning.
