I finally found some flowers not in a vase, not in a store but actually growing and blooming outside in the Ground!
Woohoo!...I love crocuses! Took me a 2 hour walk to find this tiny little blooming cluster growing in someone's garden on the next block over.
    Mission accomplished today!

Look forward to seeing some more as summer comes! I'll join the flower photos once they start sprouting!

I look forward to seeing them Kat!
Aussie, I can imagine watching spring arrive for us (it's been a very looooooooooooong, cooooooooooold winter here this year in all of Canada from what I've heard) it would be kind of like watching you, and AntZ getting a dump of snow in Brisbane...I'd just bet the photo shutters would be flying then... !

Definitely! I don't think Brisbane has ever had snow at all. There's a mountain range about 2 hours drive or so that gets a dusting every few years but that's about it around here.

I am also pining for spring. We've had 2 nice days here on the coast and the rest has been still kind of cold and wet. They are forecasting a week of +8 and sun/cloud mix. I'm getting very excited!

If it's any consolation the creek crossing about 500m from us received the most amount of rain yesterday. Our backyard was flooded and if we step on our grass we sink so quickly we squirt mud in our own eyes. We need it though We are also only about 1 km from one of major water reservoirs which is very low and has been for years now.

Yes, however the actual saffron crocus is a different type of crocus I believe. The little stamens are the actual saffron that they pick. I'm not a big fan of the flavour myself but then again I'm not a big fan of caviar, truffle, fois gras or most of those other super expensive foods either.
