    Default Gevillea

    This is a Australian Native plant with these interesting flowers.
    I hope I have done them justice. This plant has only recently been planted and only has a single flower, otherwise a tree in full flower is quite spectacular. If you look closely at the photos you can see the flower dripping in nectar which is quite tasty.

    Rainbow Lorikeets, Blue faced Honeyeaters and Myna's are what we get in ours.
    They flower several times a year and each time the birds come. Great tree to have around!!

    Back on the coast in my Mum's neighbourhood they have something called a butterfly bush and it gets lots of butterfly visitors in summer. Long stem with tons of little purple flowers on it and it smells like fresh vanilla...mmmmmm...nice and really pretty!

    Plant honeysuckle here too and you'll get hummingbirds.
