These are great JAS. I love the flags if forced to choose a favourite.
What a wonderful experience. I am envious. (except for those portable toilets -based on previous experience of festivals I can imagine the smell)

Thanks, Runmonty! Yes the secret to the longdrops is don't look back! I camped with a private company just offsite. A little more convenient for someone travelling by plane. (A bit nicer too- for instance they had hot showers.) The flags everywhere are amazing. I have a bunch more photos still to post including the Tipi Village.
Pretty spectacular event. Great photos. I watched the video you linked to of the Flaming Lips, and then a whole bunch more videos produced by the BBC. Top notch photography and sound. Thanks.

A very nice set of images... I really like the checkerboard flags.

If you can not handle crowds, this is probably not the festival for you. I did not mind it for the most part although I did get caught in a crowd crush twice. Once right after Jeremy Corbin spoke at the pyramid stage.

Love them or hate them crowd flags are a big part of Glastonbury.

The pyramid stage is huge and the pyramid arena has 9 huge speaker towers throughout the area.
Here is Matt of the National on screen.

All of the flags give a great carnival atmosphere. If you are reminded of middle ages jousting tournaments, it is no coincidence as this is home of the Arthurian Legends.
