I like the light here - but i think i would have gotten much much much closer...especially given the title.

Thanks Marko for your comment. I did try a closer one. Unfortunately we were a bit rushed and I couldn't wait long enough for the sun to be low enough to be right in the arch. As a result I think the longer shot works a little better. Also in the closer one the line in the sky is a pain. Not being a photoshop person I don't know how to fix this. Not sure this can be done in Lightroom.
Lovely light on this shot. I like what you tried to do. Too bad you didn't have more time to set it up.
And Lightroom can certainly tweak that line in the second one but it'll take a bit of practice with the tool to do a decent job.
I think your first shot is nearly a classic. Your timing is good, but framing is not quite right. Still it's a very interesting photo that caught my attention immediately. Is this cropped at all? If so can you post the full frame?
