my mother in law lives in edmonton, and the 2 times we were down to visit her this winter were FREEZING!! it was always a blizzard, crap roads and -30 the whole week we spent there at christmastime... maybe we just had bad timing if you think you had an easy winter! but dont worry - i looked out to see the same thing as your above pictures this morning, 6 hours north of Edmonton too. at least it was only -7, but with the windchill it felt more like -25. poor hubby was outside working in it all day too! thought the snowflakes might make for a good "wind" photo, but didnt crack out the cam today.

Very discouraging. And I lost my gloves a few weeks back too. So when I was taking some pictures the other day (the "mars" ones), my fingers were frozen! Sooo cold. But it was worth it

Heh heh. I wasn't here for winter breaks (vacationing in Dubai!) but I heard about that! Normally, it is like that during December but I was surprised to hear about it since it's been so mild.

Lol. If only the snow wasn't thigh deep right now! (It snowed again this morning.)
