The first weekend in October that I haven't been preoccupied with providing sustenance for the family, so I headed out for this morning's beautiful sunrise.
This shot silhouette's a flying goose. the black splotch in on the sun itself is Active Region (AR) 2192 - a group of sunspots which have produced a number of X-Class flares over the last few days - sparking HF radio blackouts on the dayside of Earth, but has yet to hurl any Earthbound CME's...
