Got up at 3am to try and shoot some Eta Aquarid meteors, but was not lucky in that. I was however treated to a really beautiful sunrise....

Hey Randi very nice! Not a wasted night at all. I never get tired of the colours at sunrise/sunset.

Sunrise is always so beautiful but sunset is so much easier... 3am!!!!

I clicked on the link to see this a bit bigger... worth doing. Amazing to see the ice. Are those animals or maybe birds in the far left of this shot?

MA - They are Canada Geese. There were a good number in the area which made for a noisy morning
