This is a discussion on water in the abstract within the Show your photo (Color) - Landscape & Nature (flowers, mountains, storms etc.) forums, part of the Photography & Fine art photography category; this did not start out as a photo of water but I took it with the thoughts of manipulating it. ...

A painter takes their vision and makes it a reality. A photographer takes reality and makes it their vision.
I really like this. Love the color and patterns. It gives to me a sense of calmness and peacefulness.
The only thing that I think would make it better is a better blending where what looks like dotted lines are. Maybe those are the pasted sections or layers? Anyway, whatever it is I think if there was a more subtle transition where the lines meet it would improve it. Just my thoughts. But I really like this a lot.
Very nice. Sometimes you never know where you are going to end up, but that's just the fun of it all, and it often leads to unexpected surprises!

Photography is more than just taking a picture and freezing the action, or leaving the shutter open. It is more than orchestrating the image with the stroke of a brush. Its the realization and explanation that reality is an isolated experience in which only a specific individual can comprehend during any given time period. - Your Truly!

Very cool Bambi, and love your creativity with this in mind whilst shooting the scene.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
