    Default Bushfire Sunset

Around 6.30pm in the evening, the smoke from a spate of bushfires (unlike any seen for decades in this area) created a pastel sunset worth watching.

The fires made for a very unique sky--not quite cloudy, but sort of translucent.

Yeh this was about 2 hours drive from the bushfires that were creating this. So no plumes of smokes, just the diffused, even, smokey sky. It was a great diffuser for my daughters wedding the next day.

Congrats to your daughter. I hope the fires are contained soon, since the smoke can't be doing anyone any good.

Thanks Q1. We've had some rain since which finished off those fires. However, conditions are ripening for more apparently. Hope not.

I glad to hear that the fires are now under control. Lets hope the conditions don't allow them to start up again.
As far as the pic goes, I love how the haze (smoke) in the air gives it such a nice pastel colour.
