Default Running away from the office

Patricia and Denise went on vacation yesterday. Their "must do" duties are split between me, Chris, and Leo, and of course, some of the less common issues have cropped up. In the call center, Paula got all of the screamers today (she asked me for info on a couple of the situations). And with some of the questions we got, we're wondering if the water supply got spiked in a few spots around the country. I rather determinedly headed to the nature center for my lunch hour. I hadn't been out regularly with the camera for a few months, and I was going to get photos, even if they were the worst ones ever to hit a flash card or roll of film. As it turns out, they weren't quite that bad...

And a couple more. The crawdad didn't come out too badly, considering that I was shooting through plexiglass and couldn't entirely control. the reflections.

Really like the Aster, and that second shot in second set, of the Rudbeckia. Perfect dof used on both to create a lovely creamy background.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

Thanks, HBG. Is rudbeckia what the fish is supposed to be? There are a number of flat cutouts staked in front of the gift shop and the fish and game office nearby that the school kids paint every year. I'm pretty sure the shape is supposed to be salmon in most cases, since the water displays are to show the various habitat at different life stages.

Another nice set and I hope it cleared the mind from the work dramas. The second one is my favourite

It helped, Runmonty. I think Denise is back tomorrow, and Patricia is back the day after. That will also help. Thanks for the compliment.

Actually the Rudbeckia is the first shot after the fish that I was speaking of. AKA- Black-eyed-Susan.

Thanks for the clarification, HBG. I knew I was missing something, but my brain just wasn't working.

    And thanks, aubintbay and asnow.
