While in Hawaii we went to the Peleaku Peace Botanical Gardens. We were in luck, the Jade Plants were blooming. However, there was a wild wind, so getting something sharp was quite a challange.

While in Hawaii we went to the Peleaku Peace Botanical Gardens. We were in luck, the Jade Plants were blooming. However, there was a wild wind, so getting something sharp was quite a challange.

Really nice high-key lighting of the Jade plant in shot #1. If that plant had been against a dark, detail-free background, I would have sworn it was a painted image, not a photograph. Love it!

Thanks all. Yes, the blooming of this plant is something else. I just wish more of the 50+ images I took had turned out. But the wind was very strong, and focusing then does become a problem. Even with the camera on a tripod, a remote controlled shutter release, and me trying to steady the plant 'manually'.
