    The detail you can see when a plant is sheltered enough that it doesn't get crushed once it's died back.

    (From yesterday. The sun was out, after an overnight snow. Don't know whether we'll have more snow or if that part of winter is over)

    Nice couple of images. Like the second one the best, wonderful detail.

    Thank you. The sun went away after that for a few days. We've had a little here and there in the last couple of days.
