Finally got a shot of a snowflake worth sharing. It doesn't hold a candle to Don Komarechka's work, Snowflakes | Don Komarechka Photography, but it's the best one I've gotten so far.

Very tough subject, and nicely captured Iggy.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Yes, Realist, they are quite interesting.
Thanks, Hillbillygirl.
Nice shot Iggy!
You don't realize that snowflakes have such an intricate pattern until you see them up close. Well done Iggy.
Thanks, aubintbay and asnow. Cheers!
Cool Iggy!

"You have to milk the cow quite a lot, and get plenty of milk to get a little cheese." Henri Cartier-Bresson from The Decisive Moment.
Thanks, Marko. Yep. As usual Got my reversing ring which makes it much easier than hand-holding the lens as I have in the past.
I think I'm going to have to take some time to look into better macro tools. As much as the reversed 50mm is easy and useful I find it hard to get any DOF. This was shot at f8 and still, without focus stacking (and that just seems painful), parts of the image are out of focus.
