Just a wild guess, since I haven't watched large rivers much - is there a good sized eddy there? I like the patches of ice all around the center one.

I don't know for sure there is an eddy there. It was just my guess.

I've already boosted the contrast. I'll see if I can get a little more out of it yet. Especially the bottom right side.
