    Default Yea Winter

Winter finally came to Mississauga for the first time in two years. (last year I didn't use the snow shovel once). Managed to get out for few pictures. I didn't have a lot of time as my harddrive only had 2GB left on it (no room for any more pictures). Had to install another drive and copy files. Anyway went to a local park and got these.

p.s. Got to use the 24-70 f2.8 L lens I rented for Christmas. Vistek got broken into last night and they needed the day for the police investigation and cleanup. As a result didn't have to return it until tomorrow. That's a nice lens.

Looks like you had a good time. Seems you've captured winter. I quite like the last one a lot, very artsy and abstract.

I like the concrete ones as well but my fave here is the last abstract one.

Thanks Realist, Marko. I think the abstract is my favourite as well. I thought that the one with the blocks looked cool, like steps going up the hill. I think that they are actually stone blocks not concrete.

Marko - I almost feel guilty calling this winter after seeing the snow you got in Montreal.

I like the rocks and the closeup of the tree. It looks like it's slithering through/along the ice.

My vote goes for the last one in first set, and your second post. Love those reflections.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!

It is interesting to see others prefereneces but for me it is number 2 for the layers and depth, and the reflection shot. Nice set
I welcome all critique and comments on any of my photos

Thanks Q1, HBG, Runmonty It's interesting the variety of favourites people have chosen, but the common theme is everybody likes the reflection shot.

Q1 - Rocks .. As much as I like this picture didn't think people would chose it as one of their favourites.
Q1, Runmonty .. That tree did catch my eye to get a closeup, but I think I prefer the longer shot for Runmonty's reason, the layers and depth.
HBG .. Last one first set. Thought maybe it lacked a subject so wasn't so sure about this one.

I like winter (how can I not with my name), just not fussy with Mr. ExtremeCold
