    Default When Seasons Collide

    Hurricane Sandy made for some interesting scenery around here. The fall colors were still going when it came through and dumped a few feet of snow in the Smoky Mountains. Not very often down here can you get snow and fall colors at the same time. Not very often anyway we get snow measured in feet, let alone in October!

    Just beautiful. I love those little "autumn islands" surrounded by pure white.
    The 2nd one is also great. I love slow exposures.

    Never thought winter could be so colorful! These are nice to look at, but I don't miss the snow yet!

    As much as I am adverse to seeing snow... I wish we could just jump to spring and get it over with... I really like these images.. awesome set. The nomination was well deserved.
