I purposefully blew out the background on this shot and ended up with a mostly in-camera "painterly" effect.
(The border is via the forum's html options. I couldn't figure out how to wrap it on the edge of the image or change the color.)

The effect really worked out nicely!
Main subject really pops - lovely colour.

Beautifully done GDub. Really like the effect created, and some VERY sharp detail in those beautiful reds.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
