Vacouver Island Flowers

Wifey tells me these are pretty rare, only grow when the conditions are right ... well, she said the same thing about Lady Slippers, and then we saw them more than dandelions ... this one is a Calypso Orchid ... remember: rare ....



But we saw tons of them .....

These Trilliums are all over the place on the island, well, in forested areas, anyway. This one challenged me to put my flash below and try some different lighting. And yes, I should have cloned that little spec out on the left ....

Love them both Matt. That orchid is just beautiful, and love the lighting on that Trillium.
