    Default Big Hill Springs

    Overcast day, running water, melting ice and a variable ND grad filter: made for each other. It's a small provincial park, about 15 km. outside the city, with a spring running through it over waterfalls.

    the clarity of these is lovely. the middle is a bit green on my monitor but I'm just being nit picky.

    Thanks for your comments on these. Indeed the middle one has a green cast to it, a result I believe of changing the white balance in Camera Raw to shade, when leaving it as shot, would have been far better. After thinking about these for a week, I find I like the black and white versions better than than the color ones.
    Here's the color re-edit:

    Really love all the shapes in the ice formations. Lovely place indeed to spend an afternoon/morning.
    Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
