This is a little spot just north of Atlanta right in the middle of Roswell. It is the former location of a cotton mill that dates back to the 1830's and was where the Roswell Gray wool came from that Confederate uniforms were made from during the Civil War. Which is what led to it being burned when Sherman came through. It was rebuilt though and operated until 1975 and did not run off electricity from the grid until 1947. The actual mill is gone but there are still some of the other buildings left as well as some of the old housing that the workers lived in. The dam is still there all though it is showing its age and has water coming through it everywhere.
OK, here's a question. How come my photos are getting a real grungy look when I upload them? I have tried a few different places including my own server and they all wind up looking worse than they do viewing them on my hard drive. Any way to avoid it?
