Default Lion's Den Trail on Fogo Island

Yesterday we went hiking with our visiting Australian friends along the Lion's Den Trail, near our home on Fogo Island. (Newfoundland) It was a picture perfect day, and I just wanted to give you all a sampling of the type of vistas we experienced along this 5.4km trail. My wife and I consider ourselves very fortunate indeed to have such an abundance of breathtaking scenery literally right in our own backyard!

Captured handheld with my Sony A550 and 8mm Samyang f/3.5 fisheye lens, at ISO 200, 1/800 sec at f/8. (has not been defished)

It's amazing how the geographies of two continents knit up. It looks so much like the norther UK - Ireland and Scotland. You can imagine Pangea.
