Started off the holiday weekend with a nice hike with one of my boys. The area is Raven Cliffs here in north Georgia which is located in a designated wilderness area. Pretty much the entire trail follows right along the beautiful stream with several waterfalls until it the end of the trail at the 80' cliffs where there is a final waterfall cascading thorough a crevice in the cliff.
There is one spot in the trail where there are stacks of stones everywhere. Not sure the meaning behind it other than someone did one and other people just followed suit. Pretty neat little spot though.
This is at the bottom of the cliff in a little secluded area, great lunch spot!
The falls in the cliff. I have to say this was a pretty good challenge to photograph. The cliffs were in direct sunlight, the falls were in a pretty deep shade, there was only really one spot to try to get the photo from and the rocks did not really accommodate my little tripod very well so I had to get creative with it. Really enjoyed the challenge though.
