As I said - I love this rose color very much
My rose is called "Nigrette" and her breeding history tells, that she is the first bred "black rose" here in Schleswig-Holstein. Maybe she is an ancestor of EdG's "Black Baccara"?!

love your perspective and DoF. No doubt in my mind that this rose and the baccara share a lineage.

Beautiful specimen captured in all her splendour MM. Plus a little tidbit of history here.
"The original black rose was named Nigrette and was developed by a German man named Max Krause in the 1930s. The original plantings of this rose are part of the largest rose collection in the world, located at the Europa-Rosarium in Sangerhausen, Germany. The Nigrette rose is still the darkest variety, but it is rare and not suitable for general usage because the stalks are very fragile".
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Lovely shot, MoinMoin. The velvety softness is almost touchable.
Beautiful capture, Moin Moin!
That I can really attest. I have my Nigrette nearly 3 years - but she is one of my "problem roses". She is still a bit puny although without any typical rose illnesses.not suitable for general usage because the stalks are very fragile
