The Fiddle heads are awesome Iggy!

Yes, as I always say, if you have any doubt at all, don't try it. Some will do you no good at all, and are actually carcinogenic, (cancer causing). My favourite, and our most plentiful, are Ostrich Ferns, which is "The Fiddlehead Fern", in actuality.

I am fortunate enough to have a husband that grew up on eating everything under the sun from the wild, and I myself have a Horticulturist Degree, so between us both we are pretty confident in our wild edible choices.
It's pretty funny how lots of people will not eat at our house unless they actually see us take an un-opend package from the store and prepare it in front of them . If they only knew. Check out MAW's post in Off-topic titled Monsanto if you wish.
Not trying to be a smart-a$$, just trying to warn people that all is not as it seems sometimes. So please play it safe when it comes to picking what you may think as edibles in the wild. Don't want to lose any of my "Photo Family" from this site.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
You are most welcome, asnow. I had kind of wished I had a couple of ND8's though or something quite a bit stronger as I would have liked to have dropped the aperture down to f11 or such as I think the lens is a bit sharper there. This exposure produced pleasing results, however, so I am not disappointed.
Thanks, Michael.
Thanks for the good advice, HBG.
Looks like a great place to spend some time! The first shot is the pick of the bunch for me, love seeing ferns unroll I've never heard the term 'fiddle head' over here although I can work it out. Very appropriate!
Thanks, Thoughton! Cheers
Thank you, MA!
