The bee is 1.5cm and they were really funny to watch, kind of sluggish and walking from flower to flower as much as flying. They'd also sort of wrap themselves around the blossom, bending it to the ground. Spring fever?

Lovin' this WD. Excellent sharp focus right on the subject bringing it right to the eye. Love the deep colours of the stems.

thanks. the stems and leaves are mostly that plummy/maroon color, some get green though, here's a shot from last year -

Both are lovely shots, I like the bokeh in the first that offsets the flowers and sharpness of the bee.
