Yes it is very dry on top, but walking in between the mounds, very wet. Still have red clay in my boots. Thats another warning. If you do go here, bring extra clothes as you will get covered in red clay if you are kneeling/laying down for shots. Definitely going back when it gets a little nicer weather, (calling for another half a foot of snow tonight)
