The dogs and I have been walking more on the trails around our new house- exploring as it were. But one night last week I decided to return to our usual trail. It was just as the light was changing from golden to blue. The lake was just starting to freeze and it was reflecting the sunset. Where a year ago I just would have snapped, this time I thought carefully about the vantage point I wanted - which meant I needed to climb down the bank a bit to get the rock and tree.
