Finally snow!!!

So I headed to one of my favorite marshes. I've wanted to shoot it at sunrise for a while and today was the day. The ice was pretty solid, but I didn't push it and stayed near the vegetation. There were some footprints nearby that showed not everyone was worried, but that's another post.

the mist was fleeting and I had to make my way out onto a totally unknown frozen pond. a bit nerve wracking, but one must suffer for one's art, right?


funnily enough, I did fall through the ice that day, but only into a very shallow brook.

thanks Jackie. I think that one conveys the feeling of the marsh best. It's tough to do without getting all cluttery or fallling through the ice.
