New England Hwy Wildflowers

On the weekend we drove about 6 hours south in to New South Wales to meet up with my daughter and her boyfriend (they drove 6 hours up from Sydney) for a short stay at Coffs Harbour. On Sunday morning we drove inland a couple of hours to see some waterfalls and have lunch in a small town called Armidale.

Around lunchtime we went our separate ways and we headed north for home along the inland route called the New England Highway where long stretches were covered in these yellow flowers ...

Half a world away and still it looks an awful lot like our New England. Love the bright yellow flowers - just wonderful. Nice scenery.

Thanks Kat, Iggy and Marko. After driving for 2 hours in the morning (6 hours the previous day) and then another 4 hours with another 2 hours left to drive ... it was a very nice distraction.
