The first one is my fav here JJJ. I like the colour tones in it the most. Very solemn.
Hey thanks Iggy. I actually like the second, more pastel version myself ! This was a CS5 HDR attempt ! - jimmy Oh, I don't know how those pesky birds got in there again !

The second one with the blue line of water between the lake and the horizon. Very nice set.
Happy Shooting

For me the first photo works better too - my eye preferes the more saturated colours.
nice image Jimmy, I'd go with the tones of version 1.
I think those birds are 'storking' you...
Very nice images on both Jimmy, but have to agree on first being my fave also.
Reality is a nice place to visit, but I wouldn't want to live there!
Well thank you Lisa, Peter, MoinMoin, Richard and Hillbillygirl. I am partial to the second pastel version myself. Yes Richard the birds are "storking" me, haha.
To me the birds anchor the picture and make it work for me. My wife Marianne hates the birds ! ! Any thoughts. Don't worry my feelings won't be hurt if you hate the birds too!
Thanks again for all the comments - jimmy

I like both but lean towards the first- mostly due to the texture of the sand. In all honesty- I think the shot would be stronger without the birds.
Feel free to make comments on any of my shots
