Finally.
Went to the Musquash conservation area again since it's so close and I knew the terrain well enough to know I could walk it without doing myself harm. Husband was doing some trail running and so I wasn't alone should I have run out of steam.
Anyway, I decided to focus on the ferns since I needed to get into a groove. They seem to be one of the first plants to feel the bite of autumn. Here's one I particularly like.
