Nice example of how a slight angle change can improve a photo. In this case i prefer shot 2.

Thanks, Marko! I preferred the second actually but posted both on flickr. The first got all the comments and views and none on the second which is why I ended up posting the first one here at all. Anyway, I did not have my polarizer with me as I just tossed my camera in a canvas bag and threw it in my little shopping cart- was going to try and get some sunset reflections on the highrises downtown and buy a couple of groceries at the same time. Ended up walking down to the river instead. I think I will give this a redo and see how it works out.
I like both. Nice exposure and the water flow looks just right to me. Soft enough without being too much.
It's interesting how different photos appeal differently on various sites.
