I was wondering that too. I'm thinking that had the leaf fallen on top it wouldn't sit so low.
Regardless of whether you staged it or not it's a phenomenal image!

Even better. Although this sort of staging (hadn't it been such) never bothers me because it's representing what is not only probable but likely.
