Tas-Hartz Mts Lookin Lichen

On the road up into the hartz Mts we saw a sign that said 'Lookout Lookin' ... we had no idea what that was supposed to mean. Not much apparently because it was about a 200m trail to a wooden lookout in dense forest. The lookout looked at a fern grove which was quite unspectacular to us.

However, along the way we did see this cool log which was probably about a metre or more in diameter ...

This one I managed to miss the first time through. The orange mushrooms are the perfect accent in that first photo.
